What do YOU want to do with your life?

God has a purpose for EVERYONE be it to be a parent, a missionary, or to just show your faith on your sleeve!?! I, the maker of this blog, feel God is calling me at 13 years of age to help my fellow teens and humans! When I grow up I want to take in unwanted teenagers and rescue horses/3 strike mustangs. I aalso want to take in young children and abused women and make a soothing 'sanctuary' for them where they no longer have to worry about anything... God has placed a desire in my heart and I feel led to do this. The big thing is not one person has told me this isn't possible because with God EVERYTHING is possible! Right now I am working on wearing my faith on my sleeve and showing the world that 1 person CAN make a difference! Even a 13 year old named Lauren Mitchell! Lets show the world how serious we are and that being a Christian is AMAZING!

I made this blog not just to document my Journey with Christ but also towards being what I want to be and what God calls me to be! Hope you like the blog!

Trust

'Ello! I'm here ;)! How are y'all? Do y'all like my siggie? I do ;)! I'm learning how to speak and write Hebrew so I added Shalom to my siggie. Hebrew is SOOOOO FUN!!!! After I graduate college I want to move to Israel for a few years and tour the place! Karis and I will do it together ;)!
I started this post 2-3 days ago :-o!  Whoops!  Well here is a little story I wanted to add~
A form of a teenage girl slips out of a side door.  She sprints across the yard and slips into the paddock.  She slowly walks up to a young, maybe 21/2 almost 3 year old, red dun colt lying on the ground and starts crooning in his ear and stroking his mane.  As she slips onto his back he snorts, she reaches out and strokes his neck, he relaxes.  Slowly and quietly she asks him to stand, he looks at her with trust in his eyes and slowly rises.  Her arms wrap around his neck and she quietly starts murmuring into his ear.  He cocks a back hoof, blows, and relaxes throughout his whole body.  They stand like that for a few minutes; and then the girl heres her name called.  Quickly she glances up and gracefully dismounts.  Under her breath she murmurs an apology to the red dun, then she slips out of the paddock and races up the hill into the house to perform the task she was called upon to do.

Okay so as you probably guessed the red dun was Red and the teenaged girl was me.  Yes, it is a true story...  If you don't believe me ask my mom.  What this story symbolizes, to me at least, is that we need need to be like the horse, trusting, and God is like the teen.  When we tense up and get "untrusting" God murmurs in our ear and strokes our neck and tells us everything will be OK.  But we need to be how Red was and trust him.

In repentance and rest is my salvation,

I love moments like that! They are particularly present when horses are around, aren't they?
