The Un-Perfect World~ An Eye-Opener
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've been pretty busy :).
Today's topic is 'The Un-perfect World an Eye-Opener'
Here is a comment I posted on a friend of a friends blog post about 'Princesses'~
I wish that I could be that princess living that fairy tale and live happily ever after... Where no one dies and everything is GREAT! I look at the world now and want to cry. Abuse, war, fighting, gangs, death, rape, and etc. is all NORMAL! Sad isn't it? My dream is to make a difference... God has already opened the door for that. He gave me a desire to helped abused kids, teens, and women. Specifically teens that 'bounce' from foster home to foster home. THEY are our FUTURE!!!! We need to mentor them and give them the love they're missing. That is WHY they join gangs and etc. They are looking for love in ALL the wrong places!
And here is more of a 'detailed' post about what is posted above~
Have you ever been to NYC? Have you ever seen a child, or a teenager, getting a high from drugs? I haven't... Yet. My grandpa has. My mom's cousin is an oxycotin addict. Why did he do drugs? Just look at his home life... My great uncle was an alcoholic and is psychologicaly unbalanced. He was not the best father. My mom's cousin grew up with that. A lot of children grow up with things along those lines. How would you feel if your father was abusive? Wouldn't you go looking for happiness elsewhere? I would. Let me tell you how my mom's cousin got onto oxycotin. You don't start there. They work you up to it. When I say they I mean the drug dealers. First you start with a little extasy. Then a little more. Then a little more. Soon the high isn't enough for you. You start on oxycotin. It only takes 3-4 days of use before your addicted. Then you start to need more and more of the drug everyday. Soon your body can't take the drug use anymore and it starts to break down...
That's all that I'll talk about because a lot of the rest you don't want to hear about... One thing I will say need to do though, if you want to further your knowlege, is to read the book The Cross and the Switchblade and watch the movie they made out of it. Maybe I'll even do a 'giveaway' type thing for the book if I get more followers... I am also going to start trying to post on a regular basis so until then~
